What LG calls look like in Toronto
The call usually comes from downstairs. Somebody two floors below hears a washer ramp up at eleven at night, management sends a letter, and the owner books us for a machine that in their own suite sounds perfectly normal. Concrete carries that resonance a long way, and the spin ramp on an LG front-loader passes through the frequency the slab likes best on its way to full speed.
Most of the time nothing has failed. The pair sits on levelling feet never adjusted after delivery, or on a stacking kit that bolts the dryer down hard and turns both machines into one tall, rocking mass. Correcting that is measurement work with a spirit level and a spanner, not a parts job. When the vibration is genuine, it is worn shock absorbers or a tired drum bearing, and we can tell which from how the noise changes between wash and spin.
Access is the other half. A 27-inch closet with bi-fold doors gives you the front and nothing else, so the dryer comes down and the washer comes forward before anyone reaches a pump or a rear panel. Allow us the floor space in the hallway.

LG repair in Toronto — questions
Building management sent a noise complaint. Is my washer broken?
Often it is not. Most vibration calls we take downtown are levelling and stacking rather than failed parts: feet never adjusted after delivery, or a kit that clamps the dryer down and lets both machines rock as one. That is a spirit level, a spanner and a test spin. If the shock absorbers have actually gone, the sound changes between wash and spin — describe that when you call and we will load the parts.
Can you reach the drain pump without pulling the pair apart?
The filter, yes — it sits behind a small panel at the bottom front of an LG front-loader, and that is where most drain complaints end. Replacing the pump itself, or reaching anything on the back, means the dryer comes off and the washer comes out into the hallway. In a bi-fold closet there is no side access at all, so we budget the time for it.
Are anti-vibration pads worth buying for a condo?
On a concrete slab they help, but measure before you buy. Pads lift the washer by fifteen to twenty millimetres, and in a closet built to the exact height of a stacked pair that can foul the door or leave the stacking kit under strain. We check the clearance while we are there and tell you whether they will fit — and whether levelling alone already solved it.
