Cookie Policy

1. What this page covers

This page lists everything Fast Appliance Repair Pro stores in your browser when you visit https://fastrepairpro.ca, who puts it there and how long it stays. It sits alongside our Privacy Policy, which covers the information you send us through a form.

This is a small marketing site. There is no login, no shopping cart and no advertising network on it. Most of what follows is one analytics tool and the hosting platform.

2. What is stored, and when

3. What we ask you about, and what we do not

We ask about one thing: Google Analytics. It is the only technology here that would store a cookie capable of recognising your browser on a later visit. It is not currently running on this site at all, and if it is switched on it will stay off until you press Accept.

We do not ask about the rest, because the rest cannot follow you. Counting page views without a cookie, and checking that a form was filled in by a person rather than a script, are part of running the site — there is no profile behind them and nothing to opt out of.

We do not use advertising cookies, remarketing pixels, social media trackers or any tool that follows you to other websites. If that ever changes, this page changes with it and you will be asked again.

4. If you decline

Google Analytics does not load. No Google cookie is written and no page view reaches Google.

We keep counting visits with Cloudflare Web Analytics, which uses no cookies and cannot tell one visitor from another. So we still see that a page was opened; we no longer see that it was opened by the same browser that came back a week later.

The spam check on our forms keeps running, because without it the forms fill up with bot submissions and real requests get lost.

Nothing else changes. Every page, phone number and booking form works the same whether you accept or decline. Your answer is not a condition of using the site or of booking a repair.

5. Changing your mind

Select Cookie settings at the bottom of any page. The same two buttons come back and whichever you choose replaces your earlier answer.

If you accepted and then decline, we switch Google Analytics off in that moment rather than at your next visit, and delete the Google cookies we are able to reach from this site.

We remember your answer for twelve months and then ask again, because an answer given years ago is not really an answer any more. We treat Accept and Decline exactly the same way here: neither is re-asked sooner than the other.

If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a decline and do not show the banner at all.

6. Doing it through your browser instead

Every major browser can block or delete cookies for a single site or for all sites, and can be set to clear them each time you close it. Those controls sit under Settings, usually beside Privacy.

Blocking cookies will not break this site. The pages are plain HTML and the forms post normally without any cookie at all.

7. Who receives the data

Google — only if you accept. Google Analytics processes data on servers outside Canada, including in the United States, where it can be subject to the laws of those countries.

Cloudflare — hosts this website, protects it from automated abuse and provides the cookieless visit counter.

Neither is given information you typed into a form. Form submissions go by a separate route described in our Privacy Policy.

We do not sell any of this, and we do not share it with anyone for their own marketing.

8. Changes and contact

If we add a tool that stores something new, this page is updated and the question is asked again rather than quietly re-using your old answer.
