Terms of Service
1. These terms
These terms apply to appliance repair and installation services provided by Fast Appliance Repair Pro ("we", "us") to residential customers in Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area, and to your use of https://fastrepairpro.ca.
By booking a service with us, you agree to these terms.
2. Services we provide
We repair and install residential household appliances. We do not service commercial or restaurant equipment.
We work on the electrical side of cooking appliances. Gas line and burner work requires a separately licensed trade, and we will tell you when a job falls outside what we can lawfully do.
3. Service call and quotes
A service call and diagnostic fee of $120 plus HST applies to each visit. It covers attendance and a full diagnosis of the fault.
Following diagnosis you receive a written quote on-site. No repair work begins until you approve that quote. If you decline, the service call fee remains payable and nothing further is charged.
If additional parts or work become necessary once an appliance is opened, we stop and provide a revised quote before continuing.
Residential appliance installation is charged at a flat rate of $250 plus HST per appliance.
4. Payment
Payment is due on completion of the work. We accept cash, credit card, debit and e-Transfer.
An itemised invoice is provided, showing parts, labour and the job number. Retain the job number: it is required to make a warranty claim.
A senior discount of $50 is available and must be identified at the time of booking so it can be applied before the quote is prepared.
5. Warranty
We provide a 60-day parts & labour warranty: 60 days on labour performed and 60 days on parts supplied and installed by us, from the date of the invoice.
The warranty covers recurrence of the same fault and failure of the same part. A return visit under warranty carries no service call fee and no diagnostic charge.
The warranty does not cover misuse, abuse, accidental damage, damage caused by other parties, work performed on the appliance by another technician after our visit, pre-existing conditions we identified but were not engaged to repair, or a new and unrelated fault.
Full warranty terms are set out at /licensed-insured-warranty/.
6. Access and site conditions
You are responsible for providing safe access to the appliance and for advising us in advance of building requirements such as service elevator bookings or certificates of insurance.
Someone aged 18 or over must be present for the duration of the visit to authorise the quote and the work.
Where an appliance is built into cabinetry, we take reasonable care in removing and refitting it. Pre-existing damage, defective installation by others, or cabinetry not built to accommodate service access may limit what can be done safely.
7. Parts
We fit OEM parts by default, and factory-specified parts only on luxury and built-in appliances. Where an equivalent aftermarket part is suitable, we will tell you and you may choose.
Parts availability is confirmed before quoting. If a part is later found to be discontinued, we will advise you and the service call fee for the diagnostic visit remains payable.
8. Cancellation
Appointments may be cancelled or rescheduled at no charge. We ask for as much notice as possible so the appointment can be offered to another customer.
9. Limitation of liability
We carry commercial general liability insurance. Details of coverage limits are published at /licensed-insured-warranty/.
To the extent permitted by law, our liability arising from services provided is limited to the amount paid by you for those services, except in cases of negligence causing personal injury or property damage, where liability is determined in accordance with applicable law and our insurance coverage.
We are not liable for loss of food, consequential loss, or loss of use arising from appliance failure or from the time required to obtain parts.
Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the Ontario Consumer Protection Act or other applicable consumer protection legislation.
10. Website content
Guides, error code tables and case studies published on this site are provided for general information. Appliance faults vary by model and condition, and following general guidance is at your own risk. Where a task involves mains electricity, water connections or sealed refrigeration systems, engage a qualified technician.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any dispute is subject to the jurisdiction of the courts of Ontario.
