Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

Fast Appliance Repair Pro ("we", "us") provides residential appliance repair and installation services across Toronto and the Greater Toronto Area. This policy explains what personal information we collect through https://fastrepairpro.ca, why we collect it, and what we do with it.

We handle personal information in accordance with Canada's Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

2. What we collect

When you submit a form on this site, we collect the information you provide: your name, phone number, email address if you give one, your city or postal code, and the details of the appliance and the problem. We collect this because we cannot book or perform a repair without it.

We also collect limited technical information automatically: pages visited, approximate location derived from IP address, referring site, and device type. This comes from our analytics tools and is used in aggregate to understand how the site is used.

We do not collect payment card details through this website. Payment is taken after the work is completed, in person.

3. How we use it

To contact you about your request, schedule a visit, perform the repair, issue an invoice and honour the warranty attached to the job.

To keep a service history, so that if you call again we know what was done previously and which parts were fitted.

To understand, in aggregate, which pages and services people find useful, so we can improve the site.

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.

4. Service providers we use

Cloudflare — hosting, security and privacy-preserving analytics for this website.

Cloudflare Turnstile — spam protection on our forms. It checks that a submission comes from a person rather than a bot.

Resend — delivers form submissions to our email address.

Google Analytics — aggregate site usage statistics.

HouseCall Pro — scheduling and invoicing, where you choose to book through our online calendar.

These providers process information on our behalf and may store it outside Canada, including in the United States. Information stored in another country may be accessible to that country's authorities under its laws.

5. Cookies and analytics

Google Analytics is switched off until you agree to it. On your first visit we ask, with an equally weighted Accept and Decline, and nothing is sent to Google unless you press Accept. You can change that answer at any time using Cookie settings at the bottom of any page; if you decline after having accepted, we switch it off immediately and delete the Google cookies we can reach.

Cloudflare Web Analytics runs either way. It sets no cookies, stores nothing in your browser and cannot tell one visitor from another — it only counts how often a page was opened. Declining therefore stops the tracking, not the counting.

We do not use advertising cookies, remarketing pixels or cross-site tracking on this website.

The full list of what is stored, by whom and for how long is on our Cookie Policy page.

6. How long we keep it

Job records, including your contact details and what was repaired, are kept for as long as is needed to support the warranty and to meet our tax and accounting obligations under Canadian law.

Form submissions that do not result in a booking are kept for a short period and then deleted.

Analytics data is a separate matter: your record of whether you accepted or declined is kept in your own browser for twelve months, after which we ask again. If you accepted, the Google Analytics cookie is set to expire on the same twelve-month schedule rather than the two years Google uses by default.

7. Your rights

Under PIPEDA you can ask what personal information we hold about you, ask for corrections, and withdraw consent to our use of it. Email info@fastrepairpro.ca or call +1 (416) 885-0963 and we will respond within a reasonable period.

Withdrawing consent may mean we can no longer provide a service or honour a warranty that depends on the record of the original job.

If you are not satisfied with how we have handled your information, you may contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

8. Security

This site is served over HTTPS. Form submissions are transmitted encrypted and delivered directly to our business email address.

No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we do not claim otherwise. We limit what we collect to what we actually need, which is the most effective protection available.

9. Changes

If this policy changes, the revised version will be posted on this page with a new date below.
