We install electric ranges and cooktops across Toronto and the GTA for a flat $250 plus HST. That covers the 240V connection, the anti-tip bracket, levelling and a full test of every element or zone before we leave. Gas appliances need a separate licensed trade, and we say so upfront.

Three mistakes we get called out to fix
Skipping the anti-tip bracket
A freestanding range can tip forward when weight is put on an open door. It is the reason the bracket exists, it takes minutes to fit, and it is the item most often left in the box.
Assuming the new cooktop fits the old cutout
Cutout dimensions vary between models and brands. Discovering a mismatch after the old unit is out means a countertop modification and a kitchen out of action for days.
Reusing an undersized supply cord
A cord rated below the appliance draw runs hot at the terminal block and eventually damages both. Cord rating has to match the appliance, not the previous one.

Do you cut the countertop opening for a new cooktop?
Ask when booking — the answer depends on the countertop material, and stone is a specialist job. What we always do is check the existing cutout against the new unit before anything is removed, so a mismatch is found before your kitchen is out of action.
Do you install gas ranges?
We handle the electrical side. Gas connection is a separate licensed trade, and we will tell you that clearly on the phone rather than turning up and improvising.
My new range needs a different outlet than the old one. What now?
That needs an electrician before installation day. Send us a photo of your existing receptacle and the new appliance spec when you book, and we will tell you whether it matches before you take a day off work.
Is the anti-tip bracket really necessary?
Yes. It stops a freestanding range tipping forward when the door is open and loaded. We fit one as standard on every range installation.
