Why OEM parts matter on GE
GE oven sensors and elements are inexpensive genuine parts, so there is very little reason to fit anything else. Where OEM genuinely matters is the Monogram built-in line, whose control boards are series-specific and behave unpredictably when a near-match is substituted.
- Factory parts on anything touching the control or sealed system
- We tell you when an aftermarket part is genuinely fine and cheaper
- Part numbers go on your invoice, so the next technician is not guessing

GE Wall Oven Not Heating in Maple
A GE wall oven in Maple stopped heating three days before a family dinner. The failure was visible the moment the panel came off, and so was the reason behind it.

What affects the repair price
- The part itself — a door switch and a sealed-system component are different worlds.
- Age and brand — luxury built-ins need factory-spec parts, and those cost more.
- Access — a stacked unit in a condo closet takes longer to reach than a free-standing machine.
GE repair questions
My GE oven shows F3. What does that mean?
The oven temperature sensor circuit is open. It is one of the least expensive repairs in the kitchen — the part is cheap and the swap is quick. We confirm with a resistance reading rather than trusting the code, since a failing board can report the same thing.
My GE oven is dead but the clock works. What is wrong?
Usually one leg of the 240V supply has been lost at the breaker, which leaves the clock and lights working while nothing heats. It costs nothing to check and it is a genuinely common cause. If the supply is fine, the element or the board relay is next.
What is HydroWave and why does it fail?
It is GE’s belt-driven motor system on certain washers. The usual failure is the motor not engaging drive, which presents as a machine that fills and drains but never agitates or spins. It is a well-documented fault with available parts.
Do you repair GE Monogram built-ins?
Yes. Monogram refrigeration and wall ovens are built-in units fitted into cabinetry, so they need more time and factory-specific boards. We confirm parts availability before quoting rather than after.
