Why OEM parts matter on Bosch
Bosch drain pumps and flow sensors are matched to the control logic — the machine measures how long a drain should take and faults when the numbers do not match. An aftermarket pump that moves water slightly slower will trigger E24 on a perfectly clear drain, which is a frustrating way to spend money.
- Factory parts on anything touching the control or sealed system
- We tell you when an aftermarket part is genuinely fine and cheaper
- Part numbers go on your invoice, so the next technician is not guessing

Bosch E24 Drain Error at Square One
A Bosch dishwasher in a Square One condo kept showing E24 after the owner had already cleaned the filter twice. The blockage was one stage further along.

What affects the repair price
- The part itself — a door switch and a sealed-system component are different worlds.
- Age and brand — luxury built-ins need factory-spec parts, and those cost more.
- Access — a stacked unit in a condo closet takes longer to reach than a free-standing machine.
Bosch repair questions
What is the difference between E24 and E25?
E24 means the drain is restricted — usually the filter, and usually something you can clear yourself in about ten minutes. E25 means the drain pump itself is blocked, often by glass or a bone fragment, and that needs the pump opened. We tell you which is which on the phone before booking anything.
My Bosch dishwasher shows E15 and will not start. What now?
Water has reached the base pan and tripped the Aquastop float, so the machine has locked itself out to prevent a flood. Tilting the machine to drain the pan sometimes clears it temporarily, but the water got there for a reason — and in a condo that reason is worth finding quickly.
Why are my dishes still wet at the end of the cycle?
Bosch dishwashers use condensation drying rather than a heating element, so plastics in particular come out damp. That is design, not fault. Rinse aid makes a genuine difference. If glass and ceramics are also soaking, then the heater or thermostat is worth checking.
Is a Bosch dishwasher worth repairing after eight years?
For pumps, valves, latches, seals and spray arms — yes, comfortably. A control board on a mid-range model at that age is where replacement usually wins, and we give you the number for both before you decide.
