Thermador repair questions
Half my Freedom Induction cooktop stopped working. Is the whole surface dead?
Usually not. These surfaces are driven by several power modules, and one failed module can disable a whole area while the rest works normally. Identifying which module failed is what keeps the repair from becoming a full surface replacement.
My Thermador cooktop shuts off partway through cooking. Why?
Almost always heat. Induction electronics live under the glass and need airflow underneath; a drawer packed tight against the unit makes it protect itself by shutting down. It presents like a serious fault and is frequently a ventilation problem we can solve on the visit.
What do the E-series codes on my Thermador oven mean?
They point at the control system — sensor, latch or board, depending on the code. We verify against actual sensor resistance rather than trusting the display, because a failing board happily reports sensor faults that do not exist.
Do you work on Thermador Star burners?
The electrical side — ignition, spark modules, switches and controls. Gas line and burner work belongs to a separate licensed trade, and we are straight with you about where that line sits.
