Refrigerator Repair in North York

North York splits neatly in two, and so do our fridge calls. Along Yonge, from Sheppard up to Finch, the towers are full of French-door units bought new with the condo — mostly Samsung and LG, mostly under eight years old. West into Bathurst Manor and up through York Mills, the housing stock is post-war bungalows where the fridge is often the second or third one that kitchen has held.

The condo side gives us the Samsung ice-maker fault more often than any other part of the GTA. The ice room freezes over, the owner thaws it, and it returns within a few weeks because the seal that let humid air in was never addressed. We fix the cause rather than the ice, and we say plainly on the phone that a hair dryer buys about ten days.

The bungalow side is a different job entirely: perished door gaskets, condensers that have not been cleaned in a decade, and defrost heaters at the end of their life. Those are inexpensive repairs on appliances worth keeping, and they are the calls where we most often tell someone their fridge has another five years in it.
