Café Appliance Repair in Toronto & the GTA

Café sits between GE Profile and Monogram: freestanding appliances carrying premium electronics, swappable hardware and app-connected features that get blamed for faults they did not cause. We repair the refrigerators, dishwashers, beverage centres, over-the-range microwaves and electric and induction ranges across Toronto and the GTA. Service call $120 plus HST, 60-day parts and labour warranty.

— What we see most

Common Café problems

Café gas ranges are outside our scope; we take the induction and electric models. Hardware is ordered by colour code — brushed copper and brushed bronze are not interchangeable.

  • 01

Door ice maker stopping once the fill tube freezes behind the dispenser chute

  • 02

Keurig brewer dispensing cold or dribbling as the hot tank scales up

  • 03

Induction range losing two zones after a boil-over reaches the board under the glass

  • 04

Dishwasher leaving plastics soaked with the vent assembly or drying fan stalled

— Parts

Why OEM parts matter on Café

Induction generator boards and the brewer's heater assembly are where a near-match causes trouble — zones that throttle back under load, or a hot tank that never comes up to temperature. Both read as a failing appliance rather than the wrong part sitting in the right slot.

  • Factory parts on anything touching the control or sealed system
  • We tell you when an aftermarket part is genuinely fine and cheaper
  • Part numbers go on your invoice, so the next technician is not guessing

What affects the repair price

  • The part itself — a door switch and a sealed-system component are different worlds.
  • Age and brand — luxury built-ins need factory-spec parts, and those cost more.
  • Access — a stacked unit in a condo closet takes longer to reach than a free-standing machine.

We do not publish repair price ranges. Senior Discount — $50 applies on top of the quoted job, and there are no trip surcharges or weekend premiums.

Café repair questions

The hot water dispenser on my Café fridge has stopped. Is the brewer repairable?

Usually the fault is scale or the water valve rather than the brewer itself. The hot tank and the narrow lines behind it collect mineral deposit from GTA tap water, and flow drops off before it stops entirely. A cold dispense points at the heater or its thermostat. Replacing the fridge filter on schedule is the cheapest thing you can do for that system.

Two zones on my Café induction range went dead after a boil-over. Is the glass ruined?

Probably not. Liquid has reached the control board under the glass. The touch panel reads through the ceramic, so a spill that runs to the edge can get underneath and corrode the ribbon connection — one or two zones go dead while the rest behaves normally. The glass itself is rarely the problem, and the board and ribbon are replaceable without it.

My Café appliance dropped off the SmartHQ app. Does that mean it is faulty?

No. Every Café appliance runs its normal cycles with the app disconnected — what you lose is remote start, notifications and a few guided cooking modes. Router changes and firmware updates knock these off the network regularly. It is worth reconnecting before booking a technician, because we have driven out to appliances whose only fault was a new Wi-Fi password.

Why does my Café dishwasher leave plastics wet?

Rinse aid and the vent, in that order. Café dishwashers dry with a heated vent and a fan rather than a bare element, so the system depends on rinse aid to sheet water off the load. If the reservoir is full and plastics still come out soaked, the vent assembly or the drying fan has failed.
